There's so much wrong here that in the barrage of criticism nobody seems to have pointed out the egregious use of "establish contact between" rather than, say, "sever the relationships between" & that it also applies to significant relationships such as foster family. #adoption

This is sad, but unsurprising. Our foster child has a very positive relationship with mum, but agency insist it will be letterbox only despite all the evidence, & are unable to give any reason based on the needs of the child or any risks involved. What about risk of no contact?

Good, but there's a difference between 'It was posted in error' (Oops - this has landed badly so we better cover our tracks) and 'We realise what we said was wrong' (We are deeply embedded in an adoption culture that privileges adopters & need to change but have a long way to go)
