Friendly, highly illustrated advice on specifying, building and understanding costs for net-zero construction and retrofit. Other local authorities, feel free to copy! cotswold.gov.uk/netzerocarbont…

The House of Theseus 'At the heart of the question is the issue of authenticity and the fact that most of us tend to prefer anything original over the fake or the artifical'. My little bit for this month's splendid Sherborne Times
Fabulous to hear @jeffyoungwriter in conversation with Horatio Clare in the city that is #ghosttown ‘a biscuit tin of fleeting moments’ thx# LEAF on Bold St Little Toller 🇺🇦🇵🇸
Learning How to Build - my bit for the January edition of Sherborne Times 'Now, all of these years later, I am having to relearn everything I know and do - as is the entire profession and the wider building industry.'
In the last few days, I've read inspiring books by Jake Fiennes + Guy Shrubsole + re-read CHURCH GOING with Andrew Ziminski FSA & SPAB 🇺🇦 's. Our natural & built environments require much healing + I'm left feeling more optimistic + with a stronger desire to help. Thank you.
Just finished Ros Atkins brilliant book. Us architects think we’re really good at presentation/explanation - but we clearly have a lot to learn. Ros traces his thinking from student days, so it’s also a great illustration of the development of expertise.
