One of the many highlights of 2025 is that our Employability Coalition conducted the second round of the Employer Intern Education Series in partnership with the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce, bringing together 15 local employers to learn, connect, and grow!

We were especially grateful to end 2025 with a $1.5 million award from Lilly Endowment Inc. through GIFT IX. With the grant, we will be able to create positive change in communities throughout Wayne County. Missed the press release? Find it here: loom.ly/z3cawoY

In observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, our offices are closed today. Celebrate his impact by participating in the events happening in our community.

Another highlight announced in 2025 is that the second component of GIFT IX is the matching grants, which the Wayne County Foundation is now participating in! In order to receive the matching funds, we must raise $750,000 by June 30, 2028. Give here: loom.ly/rBmmtbA

The next exhibit at the Richmond Art Museum, Connection to Freedom: Works by Mason Archie, opens this afternoon! The opening reception is today from 1-3 pm, with Mason's artist talk beginning at 1:30. The exhibit will be at RAM through March 28, 2026.
