On November 17, 1989, Czechoslovak students took to the streets demanding freedom. They were brutally crushed by the security forces, but their example ignited a movement that ended the totalitarian rule. We will always remember their inspiring legacy!

Political scientist and intellectual Shlomo Avineri passed away at 90. Professor Avineri was a long time member of the Forum 2000 Program Council, as well as a frequent participant and speaker at Forum 2000 events. Thank you, Professor Avineri, R.I.P.
