Reception have been learning all about plants. The children were excited to plant their very own sunflower seeds! 🌻 They now know that plants need water and sunlight to grow. The children will be looking after their seeds and are looking forward to seeing them grow! ☀️ 💧

FGP Sports Day 2025 💙Our EYFS children took part in different races on the school playground. Whilst, Key Stage 1 & 2 completed their sports day on Dalestorth's field. All the children displayed many of of our school values and had a brilliant time!🏃‍♂️ #pride #perseverance

Our Eco club have set up our microgreen kit we were kindly donated by the ATTFE college! The children and Mrs Akpovi will be having weekly meetings to discuss all things eco and look after the seeds. We can't wait for an update to see how and what they are growing! 🌱

In Science, Year 4 have started an experiment to test how an egg shell reacts with Diet and full sugar Coca Cola. This experiment links to the children's work they have been doing about looking after their teeth. Good work Year 4, we look forward to your results!👨‍⚕️#aspiration

Year 3 have been researching shaping and joining techniques to design their own shadow puppets for their puppet theatre. They have been able to create Greek myth puppets ready for their enquiry showcase about Ancient Greece and Greek myths. Amazing work Year 3! 🎭#creativity

Nursery have been discussing the lifecycle of a caterpillar to help support their enquiry, 'Can all colours be found in nature.' The children made headbands to demonstrate the lifecycle and sequenced / re-told the story of, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" 🐛🦋 #creativity

Reception have continued exploring the beauty of nature. The children designed their own imaginative moving flowers, putting creativity and thought into each design. They then carefully cut out their creations and assembled them with great care and enthusiasm🌺 #creativity

Our Year 6 children had the best time on their residential to Lockerbrook in the Peak District. They had a busy few days of rock climbing, weaselling and crate stacking and made amazing memories to last a lifetime! 😊💙 #enjoyment #confidence #perseverance Flying High Partnership

Year 4 have visited Leicester Museum as part of their Summer enquiry about The Arts and Ancient Egypt. They took part in a workshop where they learnt about the Egyptian lifestyle and even saw some ancient artifacts and real mummies! Amazing job Year 4😊 #responsibility #enjoyment

Nursery have been planting seeds and discussing what a seed needs to be able to grow. Throughout the next few weeks, the children will look after their seeds and see how they develop from a seed into a plant. Great work Nursery!🌱 #responsibility

Seaside Day 🏖 Last week our children came to school dressed for Summer and enjoyed a fish and chip 'picnic' on the playground! All the children had lots of fun and the weather was on our side too ☀️

We hope all our FGP family have a brilliant Summer ☀ Enjoy the time making lots of lovely memories together (hopefully with some sunshine 🤞) We will see you all back at school on Thursday 4th September! ☺️

Last week our play leaders enjoyed a trip to Lammas Leisure Centre and had fun playing tag active to celebrate their hard work 💙 they do a great job making sure there are lots of activities for all our children at play times so their trip was thoroughly deserved ☺️

How amazing are our Year 4 pyramids! This DT project has been a real labour of love for the children, who have used lots of different techniques over a few weeks, from dowel bases to Mod Roc and sand. Amazing work Year 4! 😊
