The USCG is searching for an overdue aircraft near Fairweather Mountain Range. The aircraft is a Beechcraft Bonanza with three persons onboard flying from Juneau to Yakutat. Search efforts are being coordinated with the Alaska Rescue Coordination Center and Alaska State Troopers.

Last week I checked a handful of trail cameras in a few Sky Islands in southern Arizona & was dumbfounded to find a beautiful wild ocelot on one of them. For the safety of this endangered & elegant cat I won’t be disclosing the location at this time.

Rosette analysis confirms that this is likely the same ocelot documented in the Atascosas in June. That means he made a hero's journey across the treacherous four lanes of I-19, into an undisclosed range in the Sky Islands where ocelots haven't been documented in decades.
