Had the good fortune to have a sneak peak of this. Superbly researched, packed with great stories. A great read if you’re not a Spurs fan and pretty much essential if you are.

There are decades where nothing happens and there's Cup Final Saturday in 1991 where decades happened! Gazza’s tackles, Brian Clough MIA, Lady Di, own goals and refereeing gaffs, the death of short shorts + Alan Sugar & Robert Maxwell! Relive the chaos now in hardback & ebook.

Speaking to fans, club staff and players about 1991 it was palpable how desperate everyone was to see its like again, a moment where the entire Spurs community comes together in unbridled joy … well, well, well. The parade tomorrow will be some occasion!

What a story, maybe the greatest of all football stories. Ian Hawkey’s Feet of the Chameleon -which is mentioned - is a tremendous book. Was once reading it on the tube & became aware of a guy beaming at me. He lent over, proud as any grandad, to say he’d commissioned it!

Very grateful to Flav for having me on The Lab to chat about all things 1991 FA Cup and my book When The Year Ends In One. It was an absolute joy reminiscing with him. Give it a listen - I hope it brings back some fond, fond memories.

This looks great. A Scotland all time XI would be some team - oh for a few of those ‘Anglos’ featured to be in their primes now!

Absolutely thrilled to chat about my book When The Year Ends In One on the always superb View From The Lane. I've been an avid VFTL listener since the pod started. Thanks to Danny Kelly, Jack Pitt-Brooke and James Maw for making me feel so welcome.

Loved every minute of my The Spurs Show debut. Full of the optimism of summer, I boldly predicted a higher league finish than last season ... You heard it here first!

It was an absolute joy to relive the triumph, turmoil and trauma of Spurs’ 1991 FA Cup win on the always brilliant It Was What It Was with Rob Draper & Jonathan Wilson Gazza, Venables, Maxwell, Clough and Sugar to name but a few … the best cast assembled since The Godfather?!

From labouring on a building site to marking Gazza at his pomp in an FA Cup 1/4 final, Paul Harding was made of solid stuff - and came away with the shiner to show for it. Loved reliving this story on It Was What It Was
