We celebrated Fiona Elliott's birthday with a trip to see #GuysAndDolls at the Bridge Theatre. We've seen many productions of the show over the years, but this one was outstanding. Amazing performances, clever staging and audience interaction.

A reminder for my lecture on Tuesday. Discover how the RAF's desire for its own museum dates back to the early 1930s. Gasp at the grumpiness of 1950s civil servants, and cheer the recent change of policy that makes it easier for volunteer-run museums to acquire aircraft!

It has come around again, as it does every year: a significant date in RAF history. And this year it's also 40 years since I joined the staff of RAF Museum (although I had been an occasional volunteer since November 1980, hoping that a vacancy might arise...)
