Another line was crossed yesterday. ICE agents roughed up & arrested a major labor leader, David Huerta, while he was peacefully observing an ICE raid. Predictably they are now calling him a criminal. He is a hero reminding us to stand up with him before the next line is crossed.

Union leader David Huerta was just released on bail. The effort to incarcerate, smear his name, and prosecute him as a means to intimidate other prominent leaders from standing up against injustice will backfire. He emerges a hero and is already igniting a groundswell.

Huerta’s words about the inmates he met in the federal detention center he was just released from: “There is more integrity there, among those men, than in the White House.” Confirmation that these raids are taking away community members, not criminals!
