I got into darts at age 42, so Andrew Gilding, age 55, who also got into darts late, inspires me more than most. He plays the game at his own pace, no bravado, no ego, no playing to the cameras, just a normal chap playing the game and doing his best, which yesterday was world

David Munyua, thank you for the memories. The hero of this World Championship. Africa should get two spots next year, it would be great to see him return alongside another debutant.

Justin Hood averaged 107.25 in the deciding set despite missing more darts at double than he did in the previous four sets combined. Ridiculous stuff for a debutant.

Harrysson, Manby, Munyua, Sakai and Justin Hood! This move to 128 has been the best world championship decision made in years. This years tournament has been one of the best ever for storylines!

In defeat Luke Humphries MBE is one classy operator. He will be hurting inside, but never lets it show, instead making it about his opponent. The best ambassador we have had
