The 3s continue to go well in Div 6B despite last week’s throwaway tied result. Today looks like a decent test as Hertingfordbury CC 1s are on Smith’s Meadow on the back of an impressive win last week. 2nd vs 3rd

Saturday Hertfordshire Premier Cricket League results on match day 7: 1s draw with Radlett Cricket Club 2s beat Knebworth Park CC 1s by 1 wicket 3s beat Hertingfordbury CC 1s by 68 runs 4s lose to Rickmansworth CC 4s by 3 wickets #decenteffort 🏏🦦🦦

The 1s played lots of good Premier League cricket in a high scoring draw with Radlett. A well paced 60 over innings in the heat posted 300-8 for max points. The reply was steady at 198-0 but when the push came, wickets fell quickly. 19 points vs 12 was a fair reflection #hot

So those cricketing gods struck again as the 2s pulled off a rather improbable 1 wicket win at KP in Div 2B. The usual KP suspects contributed in 244-9 before a recovery from 138-7 thanks to 59 from Mr Edwards and 50+ extras got the job done. Still bottom but now in touch.

The 3s dominated pretty much from ball one in 2nd vs 3rd in Div 6B as S & S Timms Antiques bashed it about! Other contributions helped post 248. That was always plenty as wickets fell steadily, inc 5-fer from matt pateman to go past 850 FCC wickets 👏🏻 as the oppo made 180 Stay in 2nd

The 4s were our only losers on the day as they were inserted down at Rickmansworth and made just 103. Although 7 wickets were taken, a lack of runs led to a disappointing defeat. Remain in 9th place in RD10W and in need of some wins, and stronger availability!
