So wonderful to see Voilà: Francis Gagnon using our Do No Harm Guide and applying it in a different national context! Thank you for the very thoughtful post, Patricia Tiffany!
Woot! Excited for Alice Feng and I to share our work on dataviz and racial equity with you all. (Plus, @policyviz is a sponsor of this year's conference.)
Honored and excited to be sharing the work Jon Schwabish and I have been doing at Outlier!
Excited that the session Alice Feng and I have put together for OutlierConf starts in just a few minutes. We have a special sneak peek at our next projects after the talk, so come by and say hello!
Had a great time working on this data story with the amazing data4change team! Internet access is an essential human right that can't be taken for granted.
It was an honor to contribute to Data Science by Design (DSxD) 's The Future of Data Science anthology. I really enjoyed writing about how we made the Do No Harm Guide and hope that it reminds everyone of the importance of applying an equity lens to how we visualize and communicate data!
I'm excited to announce two new calls for submissions to follow-up volumes in the Do No Harm Project from the Urban Institute. We are looking to extend the work on creating diverse, inclusive, and equitable data and data visualization practices. 1/3
