I really hope the council take this information seriously and agree not to sell the land for development.

Castle St outcome aside, interesting to note rationale here (can't take decisions that might worsen AQ in residential areas) Worse AQ would be one of several negative impacts of selling #FlaxlandWoods for development Can we expect similar weight to be given to AQ impact here?

We ask the Council to: ▶️acknowledge that the woods aren't viable for development ▶️listen to community, local Cllrs, MP, MS, 3rd-sector & Council officers ▶️commit to working with us on collaborative options to protect & improve the woods, for the benefit of community & nature

Good news! On Thursday, CCC's Cabinet will review a new Property Plan. Flaxland Woods is now no longer listed for sale, but as a community lease. This follows a lot of hard work & meetings over the last year with Cabinet members & officers. Full update to follow after Cabinet!
