Thank you, we are blown away by everyone’s generosity during #GivingTuesday! We raised $24,330 that will go directly towards saving birds from deadly window collisions. A massive thank you again to Feather Friendly for their matching donation of $7,500!

We are supremely grateful to Patricia and to all the volunteers who have helped us save birds' lives. Their dedication and resilience is recognized by The Guardian. Thank you to all who volunteer, not just for FLAP but for all the other bird collision organizations.

On Saturday, we held a Celebration of Life for Brian Armstrong, an outstanding, long-time FLAP volunteer who we lost last August. It was a beautiful event, with many people from different areas of his life attending and sharing memories of him.

Spring is right around the corner. The sun is shining, the temperature is warming up, and soon, the birds will be back! Together, we can make our neighbourhoods safer for birds. Treat your windows with effective visual markers, and turn off nonessential lighting at night.

Every bird lost to a window collision is a tragedy, but you can make each of these birds count by reporting them on the Global Bird Collision Mapper. This data is invaluable to the fight for bird-safe buildings. birdmapper.org

We would like to thank The Eric S. Margolis Foundation for their incredible support for our bird rescue efforts this year! Their generous grant to FLAP Canada will help ensure that more birds like this American Woodcock get a second change at life.
