I'm still hiring! Looking for an engineering manager in Sunnyvale, CA, USA. Details: careers.google.com/jobs/results/8… (And happy new year everyone!)

My team in Sunnyvale is hiring to work on SiliFuzz. Are you interested in advancing the state of the Fuzzing technology? Do you like doing low-level work with CPUs, OS kernels, Emulators, and compilers? Want to work on a modern C++ code base (soon to be open-sourced)?

We have started building the "Open Source Maintenance Crew", an engineering team that will work closely with upstream maintainers on improving the security of critical OSS projects. Google Brazil, the next Security Innovation Hub will host this team - careers.google.com/jobs/results/?…

The FuzzTest framework (github.com/google/fuzztes…) by Google looks great: "it is targeted for developers (instead of security researchers) that focuses on ease of use". Based on my understanding, developers can write fuzz tests using familiar syntaxes but they "subsume" unit tests.

Excited to share this blogpost about our LLM-based code repair work amongst other capabilities described by our collaborators: ai.googleblog.com/2023/05/large-…

Super exciting work by many at Google to push forward ML models that help with many aspects of the software development process. Not just simple code completion, but fixing compilation errors, suggesting test cases, helping w/ code review comments, and all kinds of other things.

Thank you for the kind words, Vaibhav Tulsyan ! You were a key contributor to the success of this project. It was a great cross-functional team effort. And it's been gratifying to see the internal impact over the past year - and nice to see it highlighted in this talk.

Today on the blog, read all about how automatically repairing non-building code increases productivity and appears to introduce no detectable negative impact on code safety, provided that high quality training data and responsible monitoring are employed →goo.gle/4b9Hm0w

Excited to share a new blog on ML-based repair for build errors at Google! We found that automatically repairing build errors in the IDE increases productivity as measured by overall task completion with no detectable negative impact on code safety!
