Contemplating safest way to transition two properties between tenants at the end of this month. Exterior lease signing with masks. Cleaning between thoroughly while masked. Walk through to take place after current tenants are out contactless exchange of keys

Took a pet to the vet today. Pets are sometimes expensive, but give us so much joy in return. Unfortunately, the diagnosis of an untreatable disease hurts a lot more than the bill did. 😢

It’s related to finances and frugality and...comfort... bear with me: What do you set your thermostat to during the summer? If you don’t have a/c, what’s the average temp in summer where you live?

What things can you realistically predict will never be the same or will change drastically post-Covid? I’m thinking weddings might be smaller Commercial real estate/WFH will change Live sports with audiences—will that ever come back the same?

Totally valid take—I think I’d have to disagree. I like my money making money for me so that we have TIME to do things we really enjoy, being outdoors, boating, fishing, reading, playing games.

Anonymous reader question: if you had $50,000 in cash, living expenses of appr. $33,000/year, small income sources of $11,000/year, would you take a couple years off work and maybe build up a side business?

How much have your cars cost and how long have you driven them? Informal poll. Our current car cost $4,500 and we’ve had it since 2015. Our $500 van lasted us three years Our Hyundai Elantra cost $2,400 in 2010 and we just sold it this year (for $300 😆)(we do our own repairs)

From when this account started in February to now, there’s been a change in the number of pets and kids...one count went down by 5, and the other went up by 2!

2020...what a year to start a FI blog. A lot turned out to be more important than FI, although we're grateful we were in a position where finances weren't a hard part of 2020. Here we go, 2021.
