Ice shelves have now formed on Lake Huron. Although winter hikes on the beach are fun, admire the water and ice from afar. Climbing these ice shelves are extremely dangerous and not only put you at great risk but those that are called out to rescue.

Crews responded to a structure fire this morning, house fully involved upon arrival. Homeowner was woken up by a smoke alarm and he was able to safely exit the home. Working smoke alarms save lives !! It's a simple as that. #savedbythebeep Office of the Fire Marshal
