Yesterday Green Watch were at Beckstones Primary school delivering CPR training to the year 6 students. The training was well received and enjoyed by all involved #CPR #notjustfires

Today Green Watch were visited by Westfield primary school. We had some very excited children who asked some interesting questions. A good time was had by all👍🚒

Today we have been out and about promoting water safety in our local area. We met plenty of people enjoying the lovely weather and cooling off in the sea and rivers. Please enjoy the weather but take care #BeWaterAware

Today Workington Fire Station we have hosted a Christmas Lunch for residents of Richmond Park care home. Thanks to Cranstons Butcher + Maker for donating the food. Thanks to all involved and hopefully we can do it again in the future

The M6 northbound is currently closed near junction 36 as emergency services deal with a lorry fire. There are not believed to be any serious injuries following the incident. Motorists are asked to seek alternative routes if possible.

Crews from all watches on station are getting a 3 day Swift Water Rescue refresher in Kendal. Yesterday saw the latest group to finish along with firefighters from Workington Fire Station Many thanks to from our colleagues in the training dept for great input and coaching. 🌊🛶🏊🏼‍♂️🪢🚒

Today Workington Fire Station, WhitehavenFire and Maryport Fire Station have been at Vertellus in Workington carrying out a Hazmat exercise. Thanks to the site for the help and hosting the exercise. Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service

We have just been called to a deliberate rubbish fire on the cycle path at Siddick. With everything so dry this had potential to spread quickly. Please be sensible and refrain from setting fires. Little fires can have a big impact. #nofires Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service
