I have been having a much needed break from X but I will be back with exciting things in September. For now, here is a photo from a summer adventure in Croatia I will never take things like this for granted

So much potential here for some good work to happen Psychology has a lot to offer M.E. - CFT, ACT and mindfulness are all such great tools for living well with chronic symptoms and I would love the British Psychological Society to get on board with understanding Pain Reprocessing Therapy 😀

I was unwell and in pain for so much longer than I now know I needed to be. Lots of anger there for me to channel into trying to change the world (a little) 🏋️‍♀️ It's the only thing I can do

Recovery is never a straight line with functional symptoms but FND Portal shows there are tools you can turn to when symptoms reappear

I'm off to a wedding today and I feel so grateful not to have had to rest for days in advance of this to prepare and to know I won't get terrible pain and PEM on the other side of it. It's such a freedom to ditch those things 🫶❤️

On #WorldSuicidePreventionDay2024 I want to honour people who are struggling to find a way through pain. It can push you right to your limits and make life feel unliveable. Your life is valuable even if you are struggling and there are people who are grateful you are here 🙏

My goal for the next year is to push on and reach many more people who might be able to improve or recover. I never thought I could be healthy but here I am and I want that for so many more people.....

A study on *recovered patients*! Because we do exist! Lots of us, too, I'm pleased to say. This is so lovely to see. More please!! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/je…

This ! And always feeding back others views, listening, learning. A lot of what we do is be a receptacle for more than the whole of our own experiences.

I love my job. And one of the best things about it is I can go to work, enjoy it AND then make plans outside of it. The crazy thing is the techniques that got me here are things I once dismissed as pseudoscience. Some things are worth taking another look at.

This has now had 11k views. It's really worth a watch if you haven't seen it yet. Louise had so many symptoms but is so well these days. She speaks beautifully

My recovery came with shame. How could I accept my brain had been involved in my symptoms? That shame is one of the reasons I speak out, so if others feel shame too, they aren't alone. In any case, these symptoms are part of being human. They are trying to protect us. 🙏
