While I think TROP does a much better job at portraying elves than the PJ movies, Tolkien adaptations still have a long way to go before we're rid of the emotional constipation, they still aren't whimsical and emotional to the degree they should be.

When a Tolkien character is said to have never married, does anyone else just automatically assume they’re gay? Like, no question in my mind

This article does a pretty good job of highlighting an issue with S2. Between Daemor & Valandil in dying in S2, and Míriel & Gundabel being randomly slapped in successive episodes, while not intentional, there's something being overlooked in production. inverse.com/entertainment/…

#TROPspoilers I audibly gasped when Celebrimbor shoved Annatar and I had to pause for a sec to collect myself bc I was SO nervous for him!! Sauron was fucking terrifying this episode, the way they portray abuse is so accurate and very tough to watch

#TROPspoilers I have a lot of sympathy for Eärien this episode and I’m glad we got to see more of her, but I see where Elendil is coming from in his interactions with her. She may feel abandoned by him, but he probably feels so betrayed by her, and her role in usurping Míriel

#TROPspoilers In Sauron’s illusion, did Celebrimbor ever leave the forge? Like could the people of Eregion see him standing there looking around like everything is great, or was it all in his head that he even went outside?
