Enjoyed presenting my work via poster to members of Medical Research Council yesterday at Uni of Birmingham. We had an interesting roundtable discussion on how to improve appreciation and career stability of research enablers and technicians in academia. Vital roles that go unrecognised too often!

Excited to be in the Algarve, Portugal for #ISDB2021! Come see Becky Leech 's poster (55) and my poster (222) to learn more about zebrafish embryo development π Thanks for the travel awards International Society of Developmental Biology!

Interesting talk by Martinez Arias lab about how gastraloids have teased him and kept him curious. Really fascinating to see embryonic stem cells from different species forming similar shapes in vitro.

Enjoyed presenting my poster at my first in-person international conference! So many inspiring talks, interesting people and a beautiful location ππ©βπ¬ #isdb2021 International Society of Developmental Biology

Had a great bake off today on ibrb floor 3! Big thank you to all the incredible bakers and congratulations to our star bakers Jasmine SA π¬ and Kavita Panir! π

Had a great time helping out with Pint of Science UK #pint23 events this week. It was an honour to get to introduce some brilliantly engaging speakers yesterday at the 'Chemistry is the Solution' event at the Twisted Barrel FarGo Village. Amazing job organising Warwick Institute of Engagement!

Listening to an interesting discussion started by Rachel Lewis at #WarwickResearchFestival23 about whether the future of interdisciplinary research is actually post disciplinary research without divisions of disciplines.

Exciting to hear about cutting edge research taking place at University of Warwick. Dr Shweta Singh from the WBS presented the future of making AI responsible. Dr James Blake James Blake spoke about how we can make our space more sustainable with some fantastic graphics. π

Really enjoyed the quality and peer review workshop run by Sense about Science. Inspiring speakers and engaging activities. It was great to discuss pros/cons of different peer review methods, consider the future of peer review and hear about opportunities for early career researchers.
