A very poor article by Brian Feeney on the PSNI. False facts & unfair narratives in parts of the media are one reason Catholic’s apply to PSNI in lower numbers. I’ve criticised the PSNI at times, but I won’t ignore unfair attacks on honourable people who risk their lives for us.

An RUC dominated hierarchy of the PSNI is what many took from Feeney’s article. The senior leadership team of PSNI is 11 strong, just 1 has RUC service out of that total. Facts matter. (Nb not that RUC service should be seen as a negative, but try at least to have accurate stats)

I have challenged Gerry Carroll to remove this post before. It remains on his timeline. The officers committed not one single breach of the PSNI Code of Ethics & acted with compassion. Police officers are accountable for their conduct, legislators it seems are not.
