Congratulations to our regular volunteer Wioletta who today became an ultramarathoner after completing the Beyond Trails London 55k event! Other members of the team did their usual 5k parkruns too. If 2k is more your style though then join us at 9am on the Marsh tomorrow morning!

Phew - what a scorcher! Well done to the 51 runners who took part in our sunny 170th event on the Marsh. 4 runners ran their first event with us today, and 15 runners achieved new PBs. And a big thank you to our team of 19 helpers without whom our event would not be possible.

Our Co Event Director Mark yesterday visited Pymmes junior parkrun, the newest London event, and volunteered as Tail Walker. He also got a very welcome ice lolly for his efforts! The Pymmes junior course is in a very pretty park with a super friendly and welcoming event team!

At Figges Marsh juniors this week we are pleased to be welcoming local officers from the Metropolitan Police Service along to our event. They will be bringing some of their kit for our runners to look at or try on afterwards. See you at 8:50 on Sunday for the usual 9am start!

Today officers from the Met visited us. They ran our course and brought along some of their vehicles and kit for our runners to look at and try out. We also welcomed some of the team from our neighbours at Wimbledon juniors. There were 4 first timers and 15 new PBs today.

A break from school seems to have given our juniors a boost of energy with an incredible 12 PBs being achieved this morning at event #176 - well done to Benjamin, Gabriel, Sophie, Ezedera, Leo, Alayna, Ijemma, Joseph, Kobi, Bowyn, Lucy and Elizabeth! 🏅

This week some of our regular volunteers have been spotted at Brentwood, Fire Service College, Aldenham, Lullingstone and even as far afield as Ebenberg in Germany! (I had to look that one up to find out where it was 😉). Can’t wait to see our juniors on Figges Marsh tomorrow!
