Professor Ursula Lavery was a guest speaker at the launch of the new Centre for Excellence in Agri Food Microbiomics at Queen's University Belfast 🎓 this week📍 The centre is designed to enhance UK excellence in Agri food microbiomics & facilitate industry engagement in key challenge areas.

Fantastic showcase of the research innovation coming out of IGFS and SBS yesterday. Presentations included 4 spin-out companies, Bia Analytical, Amply Discovery, Aramune Technologies and Rapid-Myco Technologies. Great hearing about their business journey and plans for future.

Following the spin-out presentations we heard from Profs Mark Emmerson and Aedin Cassidy about the recently announced Co-Centre for Climate + Biodiversity + Water & Sustainable and Resilient Food Systems Co-Centre. A total investment of €70m by @scienceirel DAERA & UK Research and Innovation
