FH Rwanda joined hands with @RulindoDistrict in Mbogo Sector to support 10 families of Genocide survivors from the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. As part of this initiative, FH provided essential food supplies, 36 iron sheets and 8 bags of cement to the families.

Today, Food for the Hungry Rwanda participated in a high-level policy dialogue on “Policy Pathways for Gender-Transformative Agri-Food Systems in Rwanda,” organized by UN Women Rwanda The space served as a powerful platform for networking and partnership building.

Through FH’s Farming for Value (F4V) approach grounded in our UNLOCK program model, over 500 farmers from Murundi, Ruganda, and Gashari sectors accessed 15.5 tons of improved seed and cultivated 7.5 hectares collectively.

Today, Food for the Hungry kicked off Agriculture Season B in Bwira with demonstration plots at Bushyogero, in partnership with Ngororero District and Bwira Sector. Around 400 farmers joined and left inspired, ready to apply CA+ practices as encouraged today! Ngororero District

Through FH’s ‘saving to invest’ approach, the Tuzamure Ubuhinzi cooperative was empowered by FH Rwanda to gain knowledge on saving and doing business. Today, it is living out asset creation, one of our Areas of Flourishing. This shows that SIF is more than just a financial model.

Food for the Hungry Rwanda volunteers and staff have completed Training of Trainers on Saving for Investment and Flourishing (SiF) equipping them to support Saving Groups in bookkeeping, governance, and investment planning.

The newly constructed combined basketball and volleyball playground in Nyagatare, Gatunda Sector, has been officially handed over to district authorities and GS Cyagaju. Built with the support of FH Rwanda, this space will unlock learner talents and promote holistic development.
