Nice morning cycle to Naburn and Askham Bog. 1 x Corn Bunting from the cycle track at Naburn York Birding and Bee Orchids the highlights.
Nice morning at RSPB Fairburn Ings and RSPB St Aidanās #Fairburnings 4 Cattle Egret, Great White Egret, Spoonbill, Marsh Harrier & Barn Owl the highlights of 53 species.
Took the train up to Seaton to see the Little Terns, seemed to be doing really well! Then bus onto RSPB Saltholme 47 species with Little Gull, Grasshopper Warbler and Avocets the highlights. cleveland birds teesbirds
Nice mornings walk around North Cave Yorkshire Wildlife Trust , 58 Species with good views of Bittern, Little Owl & LRP the best. NorthCaveBirders North Cave Wetlands
Cycled out to Bolton Percy Churchyard this morning , 2 Spotted Flycatchers feeding fledglings. Also kindly shown around the church by the lady who looks after it. Stopped off for the incredible Orchid display near Askham Bog on the way home. Top morning! York Birding
2 Green Sandpiper at Bank Island. Juv Whinchat and Grasshopper Warbler from Tower hide and Garganey at Pool hide..plus Red Kite and Marsh Harrier. Best of an otherwise quiet and drizzly morning York Birding

A Weeks hiking/birding in Madeira 7 lifers in total. Thanks to Wind Birds Hugo Romano for the trip highlight watching and hearing Zino's Petrel in the moonlight at Pico do Arieiro, that was spectacular š. Hopefully they won't affected by the current fires ebird.org/tripreport/267ā¦
Nice trip out to RSPB Blacktoft Sands and the Humber and #alkboroughflats. 2 Curlew Sandpiper, 8 Spotted Redshank at Blacktoft + 24 Spoonbills, GWE, 29 Avocet, Spotted Redshank and a pair of Peregrines causing chaos at Alkborough. Good numbers of Greenshank at both sites.
Kingfisher in Friends of Rowntree Park York Birding at the moment been around a couple of days.

Incredible trip out of Staithes with YorkshireCoastNature Awesome views of 2 Humpbacks, c100 Minke Whales. 30+Sooty Shearwater. 3 Black Terns, 1 x Manx, 5 Arctic and 3 Bonxies. Massive thanks to Mark James Pearson and Sean for the sheer joy, passion and love of it all! what a trip!
Not the best weather to cycle to Flamborough Bird Observatory but a good if soggy day. 1 Pied Fly, 2 Spot fly, 1 x Redstart, 6 Wheatear, Lesser Whitethroat 1x Whimbrel, 3 Manx & 5 RT diver.
