"I think extreme anti-Mormonism may be the most reactionary form of hatred in America, because hating people solely for what they believe is the closest we get to ideas that powered the wars of religion in Europe." --Jonah Goldberg | G-File thedispatch.com/newsletter/gfi…

In my 47 years attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the number of times I’ve heard a lesson or sermon about any other denomination: 0

I struggle to wrap my head around anyone thinking they know what someone else believes better than they do. Seriously. I cannot imagine a circumstance where I could say something like this with any sincerity.

The Church deletes their general conference YouTube Livestreams after they put out the videos of all the segments. I'm posting this so people can still see this beautiful comment after it's gone.

I think what upsets you is that we are claiming the name of Christ *without* trying to shoehorn ourselves into your faith. We don’t ask your approval or agreement. We just ask that you stop claiming the right to gatekeep our claim on the name of Christ. It’s His name, not yours.

Nanny State example here. Parents are responsible for their kids, not schools administrators. Schools ALWAYS should exist to support and serve the family, not the other way around. I am the client. The school is the service provider. End of discussion.

Because the Pope and Councils had no priesthood authority. Living prophets of Jesus Christ have more authority than the scriptures. The scriptures teach the doctrine of Christ. Living prophets can reveal more or interpret for clarity. Priesthood keys enable Christ’s ordinances.

Grok do sociologists who specialize in religious studies consider The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to be a cult? What is the consensus conclusion? To be clear, please exclude from your analysis commentary by those who cannot approach the question without inherent bias.

I read this and my first reaction is a chuckle at the word ‘heretics’ and my second thought is ‘we actually have someone here who is halfway rational’. What does that say about the current state of affairs?

Yes, our goal is to diabolically lead people into the depths of hell. Here's how it works, dear Wormwood: We formed the CHURCH of Jesus Christ. There, we constantly PREACH of Jesus Christ, help each other FOLLOW Jesus Christ, and develop a personal RELATIONSHIP with Jesus

Paul's Galatians 1:8 warning targets distortions of the gospel he preached: faith in Christ's atonement, free from added works (e.g., requiring circumcision or other Jewish traditions alongside faith; Gal. 3:10-14). No hint of Trinitarian formulation in Paul’s writings.
