What do EAZ’s recent statements, e.g. claiming anti-Zambia conspiracy by Bloomberg, say about its credibility & impartiality? Recent Govt announcement on tackling debt is v good news, but Zambian economists must be realistic over the challenge facing Zambia..

A major development. Amos articulated international concerns to #Zambian Govt about e.g. corruption & economy. He understood importance of Zambia’s image overseas. Decisive action, now, on such issues would be reassuring to UKinZambia

Good to see #FIC explaining their mandate (inc. clear difference between Trend and Intelligence reports). 🇬🇧 uses case studies to show impact in its reporting, but easier as cases generally concluded more quickly. Suggests the challenge in 🇿🇲 is not FIC but further upstream?

Enjoyed meeting Former Acting President Guy Scott in London to discuss his new book, which I highly recommend. It’s fascinating on Guy’s chimbuya or “teasing cousinship” with Late President Sata who jokingly called Guy his mzungu chola...!

My favourite task is meeting bright, talented Zambian Chevening Awards scholars as they depart for UK. Finally I’ve decided to join them by doing postgrad African Studies at University of Oxford this Oct. Hence the newly acquired student beard!
