Driving through heavy rain? Turn around, don’t drown 🚗⛈️ Most flood deaths happen in vehicles. It only takes 6 inches of water to lose control. #FloodSafety #TurnAroundDontDrown

Severe weather & wildfires could affect different parts of the country this week. When a storm hits, we're stronger together! If it's safe, check on your neighbors. Especially older adults & those living with a disability. A quick visit can make a big difference.

West Virginia: Do not attempt to enter flooded roadways closed off by local authorities. It only takes 6 inches of fast-moving floodwaters to knock an adult off their feet and 12 inches can carry away most cars. Turn around, don't drown!

If you have mobility or medical needs and are in the path of severe storms, ask for assistance from neighbors or family members when preparing your home. It may be more challenging for the elderly or disabled to make sure they are adequately prepared.
