I wrote for Psychology Today on how, once we see that depression is the mind’s signal that something is seriously wrong, and not a “disorder,” we must rethink the meaning of antidepressants. What if ADs prolong our suffering by preventing us from listening to what it’s trying to say?

Rejection is a lot easier to bear if you don't reject yourself. But if you do reject yourself, that's OK because we don't reject the self rejection either, and also pretty much everyone does. Reclaiming pieces of self one at a time here. xx

Editing thoughts: I say 'kind of' A LOT in my writing. I am KIND OF fed up of it. Ironically it's actually because I like to be specific and it annoys me when I am not, so I like to signal that what I am describing is only 'kind of' true.

The moss in the deep forest is never just moss. It may be the discarded cloak of a slumbering witch or the padded mattress of a goblin king. It breathes with secrets and memory, pulsing softly beneath your feet. Tread lightly. What sleeps there may not wish to be woken.

Guys I need some creative encouragement. Going through re-plot for book and I have hit a 'there is so much to change and why am I doing this and forwhat moment' - do you have a fave thought or quote that keeps you going?
