While the country is devolving back into 50 separate states on the macro level, already-cantonized New York City--on the micro level consisting of five counties--is fracturing even more over Covid vaccinations. The city is planning to open a large vaccination
center in Queens at Citi Field for Queens residents. Already, the 168th Street Armory in Manhattan has taken it one step further by reserving 60% of its appointments for Washington Heights residents. Last time I looked, I live in New York City and in my almost-43 years here I

Amnesty Intl published a video explaining how they came concluded that Israel’s treatment of Palestinian is “apartheid."
YouTube has slapped a warning on it.
For opponents of the report, it seems Amnesty’s explanation is unacceptably clear & convincing. Go figure.
Powerful: In yesterday's anti-gov protests in Tel Aviv, w/in leftist block of protesters, Israeli youth burnt their "military recruitment" papers with calls against the occupation holding Palestinian flags. While still a small group, it's a courageous act.
Over last fiscal yr, Dept of Ed's Office of Civ Rts received 19K complaints. 5 concerned allegations of antisemitism. FIVE. Yet Jewish orgs want to convince us that antisemitism on campus is the problem? (Prediction: Brandeis Ctr will see it as a personal challenge to up that #.)
This has been, and continues to be, a collective mask-off moment of such clarity that it is *impossible* for anything to go back to how it was. We're in a different world and everything will change: Priorities, plans, support networks, alliances, partnerships, friendships.
