The round case of the Chronomètre FB 3SPC recalls the curves of pocket watches from the early 19th century. The large porthole in the case middle at 9 o’clock reveals the key element of this timepiece: the cylindrical hairspring beating. #FerdinandBerthoud

In a practical sense, the cylindrical hairsprings were unsuitable for use in wristwatches, since their chronometric advantage would only be manifested if the watch was always kept in the horizontal position. At Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud, this was a challenge to take up.

To mark its first anniversary, the Chronomètre FB 3SPC is unveiled in a new, contemporary guise: the 42.3 mm 18-carat white gold case houses a movement in black and anthracite tones, embellished with gilded hands. #FerdinandBerthoud

Within one year the Chronomètre FB 3SPC has won several awards : "Best Men's Watch 2022" by Revolution magazine, then winner of the "High Watchmaking" category in the "CH24 Watch of the Year 2023" competition and most recently the prestigious “Chronometry prize” at the GPHG 2023.
