One last RefugeesWellSchool ‘behind the scenes’ before the weekend commences! This is a picture of the overly enthusiastic Belgian team enjoying the autumn sun and free (!!) fried fish at a market in Stad Diest, after an intense morning of recruiting adolescents for the study.

The ‘Welcome to School’ intervention, based on a program of lessons developed by Pharos Nederland, was redesigned by our Danish team and will be implemented and evaluated in Denmark, Norway and Belgium.

Welcome to School, within the scope of our study, is a classroom program consisting of 14 thematic lessons that allow teachers to engage pupils in group discussions on themes touching upon experiences of migration, well-being and life in resettlement.

The Belgian team following up on intervention implementation, organizing and supervising evenings where drama teams come together to discuss their experiences in implementing the ongoing Classroom Drama intervention.
