70 yrs ago (11/5/55), Saint Francis Men’s Basketball Maurice Stokes made NBA debut. He had 32 P, 20 R & 8 A in loss to Knicks. His 32 pts is tied for 4th most by a rookie in NBA debut. 1st: Chamberlain (43 in '59); 2nd: Selvy (35 in '54); 3rd: Edgecombe (34 in '25); 4th: Stokes & Drew (32 in '74).
2025 Saint Francis U grad Colette returned to campus on Nov. 18 to deliver the keynote address at the Pennsylvania School Press Association's regional conference. The conference was hosted by our Communications Program. Colette is a reporter at Altoona Mirror newspaper.
