Will Howard said he had a 'rough' first day of OTAs on Tuesday, but feels he has learned and grown throughout the week. "I wasn't really comfortable yet, didn't really know where my feet were. My timing was off. But that's a learning experience and I've learned."

Kaleb Johnson has repeatedly said he is obsessively learning to refine his pass pro. Kenny Gainwell and Jaylen Warren have both been hounded by Johnson asking questions. Johnson is one of the more detail-oriented rookies I've seen come through in recent seasons.

Derrick Harmon has been following around Cam Heyward at OTAs in a way that mirrors Nick Herbig with T.J. Watt two years ago. "I told them I'm asking questions. That's what I'm going to do. I'm going to learn."

The Steelers couldn't consistently feature their highly paid TE last year who's still on the team, so they're going to get another one.

Jonnu = good player I also think it's fair to worry about the usage of the TE position last year and if the Steelers can maximize a Smith + Freiermuth duo. I get adding talent to your team, but it's a realistic concern if they land Smith.
