Ireland and the Choctaw Nation are bound by an incredible gesture during 1847, the worst year of the Irish Famine. The Choctaw, despite having endured The Trail of Tears and dreadful hardship, raised a donation which was sent to Irish Famine Relief.

Saw this fabulous painting by Antonello da Messina at Museo Mandralisca, Cefalu, Sicily. The ‘Unknown Sailor’ mid 15th century. A smile similar to La Giaconda for its mystery.
