Zonal pricing will inflate bills the most in areas where wind farms cannot easily be built, pushing up costs for both residents and businesses at a time when some are already struggling with the price of energy.

Zonal pricing isn’t the answer. It will slow infrastructure delivery and delay progress towards the government’s 2030 clean power milestone. In fact, it will be slower and costlier than enhanced national pricing.
