National Minimum Wage rose to £11.44ph on 1st April this year, and Real Living Wage is £12ph.

On Saturday NML snook a skeleton crew in the back door to keep a light on in a building which literally houses collections on working class history in Liverpool.

I get people’s objection to a £27k salary for a museum job in London requiring substantial commuting. But I find it interesting that flurries of outrage like this tend only to be initiated about cataloguing, archiving & curatorial jobs. What about FoH? Cleaners? Security?

I feel we should all agree to not call posts 'dream jobs' if they pay like shit.
