A very varied afternoon/evening at Western Fire Station firstly, a small event “reopening the station” with Susan Barton following the major refurbishment of the station and then a great evening getting back to my roots with the awesome Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service Fire Cadets

Today at 10:00 Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service switched over to our new Motorola Solutions and 3tc Software 999 call handling and mobilising system. At 10:07 we received our first emergency call and mobilised to the incident without issue. A great project, well delivered 🚒👏👍🚒

The Service lost one of its own yesterday. It is with deep regret we announce that our colleague, friend, and Watch Manager, Jon Partridge, sadly passed away yesterday after a medical emergency. We are devastated and shocked at the tragic loss, and Jon will be greatly missed.
