In hindsight, the only possible reason for McLaren extending Piastri's first stint was to keep him behind Lando. Similarly, the only possible reason for Ferrari to force Lewis to pit a second time was to keep him behind Leclerc.

Ferrari pit wall is nowhere near good enough to win a world title. If they don't change personnel, they are not serious about winning.

If Leclerc had driven that Ferrari to P4 and Lewis finished P14, all of his stan accounts masquerading as objective analysts would’ve written a 20-page thread on how he was able to drive around the limitations of the SF-25 whilst Lewis was having a howler. They seem mute now!🤷‍♂️

For all those who claim to be tifosi, but really are Leclerc fans hating on everyone who drives alongside him. “Ferrari, it’s time to listen to Lewis”.

Just a message to Lewis Hamilton I’ve followed F1 for 50 years & I thought I’d seen the best come & go But you ARE the gold standard, the GOAT overcoming more adversity than most & won through Chin up champ You’ve faced tougher challenges than this Just enjoy & trust your talent

norris can put in an absolute STINKER quali lap, start p3, lose MULTIPLE positions on lap 1, get the strategy advantage despite being behind in the race AND wdc, hit the gravel under 0 pressure, all while being in the fastest car and his fans will STILL claim that he won on merit

Interesting to see Mclaren give Lando preferential strategy (track position on a circuit that's hard to pass) when he was running behind Oscar.

The most shameful moment in F1 history The only time the governing body conspired to break its own rules to achieve a new DWC with Sky covering for them Will remain shameful for all involved Also attracted a generation of mindless abusive Max supporters who will comment on this

Mark Hughes But my point is then when Hamilton didn't take "take evasive action" last year, the stewards used the fact that he could have avoided contact as an excuse not to penalise Verstappen. They can't have it both ways, surely?

The overreaction to Lewis being 1-2 tenths off Leclerc is genuinely mind-blowing, so much forced negativity It's Leclerc. He's not 8 tenths off, or losing to a rookie teammate or something. He's a tiny bit behind arguably the quickest driver, at 40, right after joining...

Anguish in Budapest #OnThisDay 28 years ago: Damon Hill had led the ’97 #HungarianGP easily, until a hydraulic glitch slowed him & cruelly robbed him of the win, dropping him to 2nd behind Jacques Villeneuve’s winning Williams. Arrows would never come so close again.
