Today has been the icing sugar to the butter cake of the communications training by Joy for Children for Girls First Fund grantee partners and we are far much better than we came. At Extend A Life initiative Uganda , we are so committed to this journey of ending child marriages in Uganda.

We have continued to orient Health Workers and VHTs in regards to provide regular Youth-friendly health care services to child mothers and young women so that they can access SRHRs at health centers to delay further and early pregnancies in an effort to end child marriages.

In an effort to reduce #childmarriage, ELI-UG conducted a training in laundry bar soap-making in Nakitokolo village, This equipped 30 child mothers & young women at risk with skills in soap making for #selfreliance. we thank #WomenFirstInternationalFund for #EconomicEmpowerment.

ELI-UG conducted a community awareness #SRHR out reach targeting child mothers and young women at risk in Kitayita parish alongside sports targeting them to access youth friendly health services in a bid to #endchildmarriage. What are you doing in your community to end the vice?

In Kitayita parish, ELI-UG used sports as an entry point to provide child mothers and young women at risk with an #SRHR community awareness outreach. This saw many access the services and motivated in learning & acquiring more information and strategies in #endingchildmarriage.

Ensuring access to #SRHR services in Kanziro parish upholds the dignity, rights & well being of child mothers & young women at risk to #endchildmarriage. when girls have control over their sexuality & reproduction, they fully participate in social, economic and political spheres.

In Kanziro parish, we used sports as it builds social support through team work by child mothers & young women at risk to access #SRHR services to #endchildmarriage. Girls control their body autonomy by making informed decisions whom or when to get married & have children or Not!

In a bid to steer the organisation towards a sustainable future, board members attended a meeting at ELI-UG offices in Nansana Municipality to assess progress of program/project activities & strategies established in #endingchildmarriage in Namayumba sub-county, Wakiso district.

#economicempowerment equips girls with skills, resources & opportunities to create sustainable livelihoods. In Kanziro parish, child mothers & young women at risk were enhanced in entrepreneurship programs through book making training which will increase their earnings & savings.

In Kanziro parish, ELI-UG conducted book making training equipping child mothers & young women at risk with skills in making books, such #economicempowerment interventions support girls' ability to make & act on decisions alleviating poverty & #endingchildmarriage in communities.

Supporting child mothers & young women at risk in Nakedde parish through #economicempowerment opportunities enhances their well-being which contributes to broader societal progress by promoting gender equality, reducing poverty & fostering sustainable development in the community

#Economicempowerment by Nakedde youth bakers is ensuring child mothers & young women at risk with equal participation & benefit from decent work, social protection, access markets & have control over resources. This amplifies their voices in economic decision-making at all levels

We celebrated the post International Women's Day in Kitayita parish to promote the rights of women & girls & eliminate any form of discrimination against them with the theme; "Accelerating action towards gender equality for a better society free of gender bias" We appreciate @GFF
