Yep. My uncle and mom both cut my hair extremely short and I am still upset about it. I haven’t forgiven my mom for doing it because it was out of spite, but now I don’t cut my hair ever. Not even a trim. It’s been 10 years

To sum up my last thread: it is dangerous when people use their status of education or “working with disabled people” as a means to weaponize it against actual disabled people confronting them in their masked ableism & stigmas that they are reinforcing.

This week, I’ve been posting about the role of alcohol in these cases. But most of the time, everyone is stone cold sober. Especially when the perpetrator is a significant other or a parent. (Because the true cause of sexual violence is a perpetrator’s misogyny, not alcohol.)

And the most unsettling thing is that a lot of the perpetrators had been around the victims while they were asleep many, many times. It was safe until it wasn’t. And the victim has no idea what changed. And that can make it impossible to feel safe sleeping around anyone else.

Happened to me with my ex so many times. So disgusting and violating. Don’t do this. Idgaf what you think you’re doing, it’s assault.
