THROW BACK THURSDAY Yesterday H was asked to film content for VANL. They're creating a video promoting volunteering to young people as part of their work with DYW Scotland. This will be used to promote volunteering as a route to gain skills and experience.

As part of her role as The Scottish Government Saltire Award Ambassador Heather had to undertake training. This included Online Safety, delighted to say she received 100% marks. Heather also spent a considerable amount of time designing the Ambassador hoodie. Can't wait to wear it.

Another milestone, officially a teenager. This little lady turned 13 today. Mum and Dad are so proud of everything you've achieved, half your life volunteering, benefiting others. So excited to see what comes next.

✨ Heather is LOVING her role as the Scottish Government Saltire Awards Ambassador. Attended another CVS Locality Network Event this week with Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire (VANL). ✨ First chance to chat is the sign in desk. Guest speaker opportunity then networking.

➡️ Tue evening - guest speaker for VANL in Newcollegelanarkshire ➡️ Wed - guest speaker at a pilot scheme for NorthLanCouncil. This was so successful that the plan is to roll it out to every high school ➡️ Thurs evening - a networking event at Showcase Cinemas UK. Thanks to Ciaran & Andrew

Throw Back Thursday. It's been a while. Are you aware of an MP's "roving surgery"? We weren't until H was invited by Katrina Murray MP to join her team and ensure people who are housebound or unable to attend a surgery are still able to raise issues or concerns.

Yesterday Heather spoke to nearly 400 pupils at Clyde Valley High School. She is the guest speaker at the DYW Lanarkshire & East Dunbartonshire Youth Volunteer Fairs throughout the area. Hopefully inspiring kids of her age. Watch this space for more events.
