EIC had a great time volunteering this week along w/the Hastings Crossing BIA at the #PlentyofPlates gathering hosted by A Better Life Foundation at Save-On-Meats. We served 70+ three course meals for #DTES community members to enjoy in a safe & welcoming restaurant environment!👩🍳🍲♨️🫶
The DTES Listen & Learn Event was a success! 90+ people fr DTES orgs, Minister Sheila Malcolmson, Council members, staff from SDPR, MCFD, Premier's office etc. discussed Community Economic Development, Integrated Health & Social Services & Safe(r) Communities. Stay tuned for more!

Thx City of Vancouver for awarding EIC funds from its DTES Matching Grant! We’ll use the grant to develop an interactive, searchable digital resource to help individuals, case managers, and peer coordinators find low-barrier jobs & income opportunities in the DTES. Stay tuned!👏🙏
