I am happy to share that I am starting a faculty position at Cornell University! My lab opens in the Dept. of Computational Biology in Jan. 2025. I can't wait to train the next generation of scientists in evolution, conservation, & genomics — watch here for PhD/postdoc positions!

Mark this as one of the most important papers ever published on birds in the Anthropocene. Just incredible work by Monte Neate-Clegg. His analyses show that birds are best able to deal with climate change by adjusting their breeding onset, not by shifting their ranges.

Wow Audubon Society just continues to embarrass itself. Their heinous management practices should really be a larger story in the bird community. So many of us support them (implicitly, financially, etc.), yet they are completely fucking over their workforce at every opportunity.
