During #SCSOTS2021 SC Governor Gov. Henry McMaster calls for SROs in every school. As a reminder, Black girls are 3x more likely to be restrained by than white female students. AND 4x more likely to be arrested than white females.

Darnella Frazier was 17 years old when she courageously filmed the murder of George Floyd. Without her bravery, today’s outcome may have looked differently. We are holding Darnella close to our heart today.

17. Thinking of all the things she can’t unsee... the experience she can’t unfeel. I hope she is surrounded in love with access to limitless support. Black girls deserve a world free of state-sanctioned violence.

A guilty verdict is the least of what George Floyd, his family and loved ones, and the Black community deserve. And yet it took a herculean effort by Black organizers and our allies nationwide to get it. But what we are truly deserving of, and will continue working for, is (1/4)

Tonight we turn to one another for support and turn inward to reflect. Tomorrow we continue to fight for a world where George Floyd would be alive and thriving and where justice looks *nothing* like what we have withstood in this trial or any before it. (4/4)
