My trick to cohesive mood-fitting lighting: color overlay Warm near light, cool (I prefer a cyan) further from light source, and a red/purple/pink in between

In my more cartoony style I do just wing it (See attached) I don’t go to these lengths for every object I draw all the time. But for that piece in particular bc of the complexity and where in falls in perspective I wanted to 1. do it and 2. record myself doing it for others
