While in the Central African Republic 🇨🇫, I’m reminded how much CERF - The UN's emergency fund support means for women uprooted by conflict. With UNFPA en RCA and UNHCR CAR, they’re receiving care and dignity kits – simple things that bring back safety, confidence and hope.

I met Sudanese refugee women in CAR 🇨🇫 – survivors of unimaginable violence and loss. Many still bear scars – seen and unseen – yet their courage shines through. Heartbroken by what they’ve endured, but grateful they’ve found care and safety here until peace returns to Sudan.

In the Central African Republic 🇨🇫, internally displaced families have lost everything. Livelihoods are scarce and, as always, women and girls suffer the most. Yet the will to rebuild is strong. Donor support continues to be crucial.

🚨 The Central African Republic faces one of the highest levels of humanitarian need per capita in the world. As security improves, displaced families are beginning to rebuild their lives with humanitarian support. More funding can help people move from survival to recovery.

Met with humanitarian teams working tirelessly in Zemio, Bria and Birao. 🇨🇫 Local responders are the backbone of aid – delivering life-saving support, standing with communities and keeping hope alive despite immense challenges. Singila mingi! Merci beaucoup!

Needs remain high in #CAR 🇨🇫 – a well-prioritized plan and stronger humanitarian–development partnerships are critical. I thank the leaders of humanitarian response in CAR for their courage. CAR can be an example of how working together delivers real results for people in need.

Grateful to meet member states and partners in CAR 🇨🇫. Your support saves lives and sustains progress. The aim is clear: we must maximize impact with limited resources, reinforce coordination, empower local actors and women. Together, we must protect gains and build resilience.
