On October 11 we extracted the largest single catch for System 002 to-date; 10,086 kg of plastic removed from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch after only 6.5 days, bringing us to a total of 145,518 kg extracted so far.

It's not the most glamorous of content but in my opinion, students can't gain a solid understanding of globalisation (or related consumerism / environmental impacts) without being explicitly taught about containerisation. Luckily, there are lots of good resources! 🚢🌍 (1/2)

After #StormBabet you can see how #COPFAS has hugely reduced flood risk for Cottingham & Hull. Upstream reservoirs are still storing water 24 hrs later to reduce risk downstream. Trash lines show more water stored upstream and now being carefully released downstream
