A good start of my 6-month research period in Italy: giving a talk at The Medici Archive Project in Florence about the sensorial aspects of power relations in early modern food rituals - i.e. the Festa della porchetta in 16th-17th c. Bologna. Now it's back to Bologna & from April, Rome!
